HYM Symphony Orchestra

Although, in effect, the second orchestra in HYM, the Symphony Orchestra performs an ambitious repertoire ranging from symphonic to contemporary avant-garde. Recent concerts have included de Falla’s Three Cornered Hat and Lutosławski'’s Mi-Parti, and this year, Beethoven’s Symphony no. 8. Julian Lloyd Webber performed the Elgar Cello Concerto with the Symphony Orchestra at the St Mary’s Festival Concert in 1998.
